Rewind Technique - A technical way to reduce the symptoms of PTSD in a few sessions without disclosing all the details. 

These approaches are not used in isolation. Instead, I integrate them thoughtfully, helping you build insight into your experiences while also developing practical ways to respond when anxiety shows up in everyday life.

Therapy with me is reflective, collaborative, and gently challenging. The aim is not to “fix” you, but to support meaningful understanding and change that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable.

 

How I Work 

Hi, I’m Karin, an integrative therapist specialising in anxiety. I work with people who feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, or constant pressure — even when life looks “fine” on the outside.

Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and practical. We’ll make sense of what’s driving your anxiety, understand the patterns keeping it going, and work towards changes that genuinely fit your life — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Clients often say they feel relieved to understand why they feel the way they do, and more confident in how to respond when anxiety shows up. I'm mindful that therapy feels daunting, so I work at a pace that feels steady, contained and respectful of where you are. 

I don't believe in quick fixes or being told what to do. Instead, I work alongside you to help you develop greater clarity, choice, and self-trust.

My approach is integrative and tailored to your needs, preferences and goals.  I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based and nervous system approaches, EFT (tapping) and the Rewind Technique. You don’t have to have the “right words” — just a willingness to start.

Over our first two sessions, we’ll explore what's been bringing you to therapy and what you'd like support with, building on what you shared during the initial call and questionnaire.

I’ll offer my initial thoughts on how we might work together and what the next few sessions could focus on. 

At the end of the session, we’ll reflect on how it's felt for you, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions before deciding whether you'd like to continue. There's no pressure to commit before you feel ready.
